We are going to northern Arizona, Williams area National Forest about 200 miles round trip. Used to go to CA but have cut down on the distances of places to go. We still plan on a cross country trip even if the gas is $7 a gal. I won't like it but we have planned on doing this after retirement for years. So fuel will cost appox. $7000 instead of $4000. Ya can't take it with you.!!!

We have reservations at Mount Charleston which is about 40 miles from here. It's at 8,600 ft altitude and about 25-30 degrees cooler than Vegas. We will enjoy sitting in the pine trees reading, hiking and relaxing. Our summer plans have us up there every third week until early September.

Waiting for the fires to subside in Trinity-Shasta as that was our destination.

We are traveling to Westfir, OR, about 40 miles east of Eugene on the Willamette River. Staying at Casey's Riverside Park, one of the best parks we have found. Will be there a month.

We are going to go outside, set in our lawn chairs and watch the fireworks as we are right behind the Timber Linn Park in Albany Oregon for another 6 weeks. Cost of fuel $0.00.

Going to Gulf Shores, AL for the week after the 4th.

Would normally go as far south as Ft Meyers but cost of gas this year cut our trip by half in miles but not in enjoyment.
