Can you replace the kitchen sink faucet with a residential one?

I do believe that some folks have done it.

ABSOLUTELY! In fact you may find a nicer one, for less money at your local Lowes or Home Depot. Just make sure the dimensions are the same.

I just did, replaced mine with one from Home Depot.  Unhooked lines to faucet and removed sink and faucet in one unit, much easier than standing on your head. After that I changed the faucet, put new faucet and sink back and hooked up lines.

Yap, She wanted one of those that had a higher arc with more, "Washing room". had to get under that tight space, but I agree it works great. Go ahead jump right on in !!!

Just finished that project on Friday. It's one of the easiest jobs I've done yet. HH comes with plastic that has leaked some since we've owned it so on one of our shopping trips, the boss picked out new fixtures at Lowes. Changed both kitchen and bath in less than an hour. Quite an improvement.

We did with one from Costco. It is much better and all the connections are standard residential. Ours is in a corner spot so not easy to do but we had a small leak so it needed to be done. The results were greatly improved.

I used "sharkbite" connections to the PEX and sweated a copper stub to a shutoff valve on the other side. Then I put a residential fixture in to please DW. The shutoff was not needed, but the other connection had been leaking and that was how I stopped it.

Actually, that is one of the first things we did! The plastic faucet that came on our brand new fiver blew off the very first time we turned the water on! DH and I went to Home Depot, picked out a better faucet, came home and put it on. Works great!
