I often use dry ice to keep my bulk ice frozen in a separate cooler. I use frozen milk jugs from home, keep them in a separate cooler over dry ice. Then as they thaw, I use them for drinking, fresh cofee, whatever. But as said, Coleman makes some great coolers. Cover them with an old sleeping bag and keep them in the shade. Great results!

Thanks for the information and just shine off those who give you static on the posts. They do not mean to put you off. Keep up the good work.

Everyone is cranky because it’s so hot and all our ice melted. If only we had a way to improve our ice chests….

Hey I like that idea, we usually go out away from any places that sell ice, so I am always looking for something to help with keeping ice longer, thanks.

Love da Broncos too

I like to make big blocks of ice for my cooler. Seems they keep longer than cubes or crushed ice.

I also try to purchase bags of ice a day or so prior to my trips and throw them in my freezer at home to super-chill them.

I just bought a "7 day" cooler from Costco. I sure hope it works. I don't know if I would buy a wrap for it but I will try the old sleeping bag in the shade trick. Thanks!
