Thanks David, In going over Janie's post I noticed that showers are mentioned, the shower in all units regulation kind of shocked me. In checking the casino web site it does state that it's a riverboat casino, maybe it just looks like a riverboat, in any case it sounds like a nice place.

I did notice on their web site that all units must be fully self contained including showers. Does that mean there are no shower facilities at the campground?
Janie sent me some photos and there are showers in the photos. But it should be clarified what the web site means by their statement.

I don't think it is a riverboat casino, but a land based one. It's in the background of one of the photos and 2 miles away according to Janie. I will get the photos posted when Janie tells me she wants to officially nominate this site.

If this is correct that all unites must be self contained that leaves us out, as we are not a self contained B.

http://www.belterracasino.com/

Info on the casino. It is built that way and Indiana has changed laws. You used to have to go out on the water to gamble now you dont. This is a newer one and it is very nice. GREAT food and just a nice place to walk around in little shops and it has small places to eat and s hotel attached. THe casino will get you or we drive and park in the parking lot not the garage and we walk in. It is one of the least smokey ones I have been to as I cant handle much smoke. If you go early its really great. Indiana maybe a smoke free state by next year. Lots of counties are it seems Southern Indiana is dragging their feet. They do have a no smoking area now too. It has a nice golf course too.

I asked the lady about the self contained and she said just NO tents. I think in their ad a Class B is in front on the website maybe a c? They had 2 showers in each ladies and me. Two bathrooms. They are building the laundry room now.

We will get more info this week. Janie

Where were the first 5 rallies held? It might help those of us who are newB's to know the history here. Do you always have the rally in the center of the country?

Go to the first post in this thread. It has a link to the first 5 rallies.

As for your second question, they will tend to be centered in the midwest because if it comes to a vote, there are more B owners, who vote anyway, in the east and mid-west [which would include Minn]. Because of that those centered in the midwest tend to be picked.

Another thing that causes places further south not to be considered is the time of the year they are held. Usually around the 3rd week in May. By that time, it is probably a little hot for a rally down in the deep south.

One of the first 2 rallies was in Kentucky, I believe. I've been to the last 3 and they were #3 in Branson, MO, #4 in Racoon Hollar, NC [in the Blue Ridge Mountains], & #5 at Hocking Hills, OH which is in SE Ohio.

I deleted two off topic posts about smoking, please keep on topic. Use Pm's if you want to discuss something like that.

Thanks, Rodger

Looks like all 3 nominated campgrounds would work out great.
