Garmin's customer service opens at 8:00 AM Central Time, and I was lucky to get a knowledgeable rep at 9:00 AM Eastern this morning. She walked me through the setup of the "new" unit - some "avoidances" in the navigation menu were checked off in error - I suppose that's the default mode - and I didn't realize it. So now the unit is performing OK, and I hope it stays that way. I did download the voice "Jack" from Garmin's website, as my wife found "Jill" to have an "annoying" voice. Yes, I know, Jack and Jill went......!!
