SweetLou, I beleive, is talking about a fan INSIDE the fridge for circulation, right?
It's my understanding that a fan outside the fridge, pushing air up out the exhaust will also help the unit work better? I've seen those little battery operated ones for inside the frige, but never considered hardwiring something. I can see how it might be hard to find power in there?
I found my power in the outside fridge compartment and then brought the wire in to the fan where the temp sensor ( fine copper pipe) comes into the back wall of the fridge. Mine ,a dometic, just had gum seal around that hole and it was easy to pierce it with the new wire and then pull it thru from the inside of the fridge. I used a very small 2" o.25 amp computer fan and it seems to do an adequate job. I have it switched and only run it when it is warm out. Also have 3 2.5" computer fans mounted as a bar in the exhaust stack--blowing up at the finned cooler. They really help when it gets into the high 80's or 90's.
i got my fan from a discarted computer . fan uses .070 amp. added a switch incase i want it off. at the lite fixture looked for a wire that was hot all the time , weather door was open or shut. assembled some brackets and mounted over the aluminum fins. works good. and was free.

You could always get one of the battery (d cell) operated fans and just set it inside the frig. They run a long time on just 2 D cell batteries. Any RV store should have them. Or you can get fancy and get a computer fan and find 12 volts to connect it to.
