To date heres the problems :

Leaks up the ying yang

1. slide is a waterfall not a leak. Its already swelling and delaminating wood and walls.

2. Seem like gray water plumbing issue. The rear panel on the underside of the camper was swollen with water. I had to poke a few holes in the cardboard like covering to drain the water.

3. There is wood swelling at the base of the dining room table seat adjacent to the frig.

4. The courtesy light at the front outside of the camper doesnt work.

5. The knob to change water direction from bath to shower broke off.

6. All stickers are peeling off inside and out.

Some of this is new business while currently camping ...

Im now trying to figure out how to get some one to come and take a look at the gray water leak without spending $1000 bucks.

Keystones product sucks and I totally regret making this purchase.

I wish I had my Forest River back. From what I understand Keystone is one of the top ten manufacturers where Forest River isnt.

I couldnt disagree more.

This camper was purchased from

McGeorge's Rolling Hills RV SuperCenter
11525 Sun Shade Lane
Ashland, Va
23005-804R

I would recommend staying away from Keystone Passports and McGeorges RV.

Chris

Sorry for your problems. Since this is a 2008, time to start fighting with Keystone and the dealer for a replacement. No way would I keep that unit with all the water damage already done.

Good luck, George

What did McGeorge's do to fix the original leak? You're not the first person to have the slide out leak on a 08 Passport. We just bought a 09 Passport and "hoping" they fixed the issue. Would a slide out topper work in this case? Sorry to hear about your troubles. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress.

I disagree. I like my Keystone Springdale, I would recommend them to anyone. I dont think its fair to get on here and bash things, when there are thousands of keystone products out there performing well.

Document, document, document!! Good luck with your fight with Keystone. Our laundry list of problems on our passport is also a long one. We got a 4 month extension on our warranty out of our fight - woo hoo!!

I agree with the OP - stay away from Passports!! We won't have another one.

I guess I'll chime in and state that I am very pleased with my 2008 FreedomLite 281RL (Passport 285RL). It's amazing how all over the board the quality issues are, and this is nothing unique to Keystone.

Have you contacted the dealer with these issues or just posted them here? You should not be paying a penny to have warrantied work done. Have you contacted Keystone with your issues? You'll never get this situation fixed or a replacement unit by just complaining on a web forum and paying for service calls from non dealer network repair shops.

I have the freedom lite version of thhe 280bh.. no real issues for me. Have had it a year now. I did find if I parked with the slide side tilted in, I get some water penetration even if the slide is closed. I keep her level all the time anyway (except the one time I moved her for a wash). Hope it works out for you!

I'm with the what have you done so far people. Have you contacted the dealer or the manufacturer yet? Unless you have an they said tough luck I don't see why the dealer is at fault. Manufacturer should also be given a chance to correct it.
