Never Forget 9-11,
Congrats on keeping a cool head.
Some years ago we were involved in a some what similar situation at a campground from the northeast. The campground allowed a popup and a class c next to us and the families from that campsite were "indescribable" To make a long story short, scary situation had regressed so bad that everyone around this family (including us )pulled out and left the campground.
It took a lot of will power to keep my composure so I know what you've been through.

I always worry about this when going into a campground, especially if I have traveled there and can't wait to get my stay started. I don't want to be cooling my heals in a parking lot near the entrance. I usually arrive at check in time to make the most of my stay. I'm afraid this probably happens more often than not, its not like campgrounds are waiting to get in and clean like in a hotel room. I expect that if you hadn't been camping with friends who couldn't move their TT then the offer of another site would have been good but as it was I think they did rectify the situation, although I would say the offenders should have been charged and made to leave, they way it was handled here they got to add another night to their stay in a busy campground without a reservation.

Then a premisis search might have occurred. Then those people probably would have been dragged off to jail. And then court. And we wouldn't have been able to camp there for days. Causer they would be able to move their rig out. Unless they jumped bail.
This would have ruined the whole trip. And it would be my fault, for involving MadDog. But MadDog would have won. And that is all that counts.
You handled it much better.
Good thing you keep mad dog on a leash, I witnessed something similiar in Louisiana and the fracas got everybody hauled off on both sides, I felt sorry (NO I DID NOT) for the lady who went up to an elderly French Canadian Couple to cajole them into moving out of a spot she thought she had reserved when the campground site had taken the reservation, the lady started berating them and cursing and before it was finished, the perp who started the argument, had been ticketed for distrubing the peace and disorderly conduct.
The French Canadian couple did not move (they were parked there by the managers in the first place) and the argueing couple were put in another spot but continued to argue about their stolen spot, well, the tickets were issued and the arguing couple quieted down real fast.
Tickets were never paid since the arguing couple were a pair of snowbirds from New Hampshire who later stated that the tickets don't count Out of State, WELL, I doubt we have many gripers in these parts.
You done right, have aptience and the thing will work out.
