Quick question. Can a 2008 Chevy Equinox FWD be towed all 4 wheels down? The curb weight is about 3,700lbs which is not a problem for the rig to tow i just need to know if the FWD version can be towed all 4 down. Also can the 2WD version be dinghy towed as well?

Best advice...Look in your owners manual. The 2008 VUE FWD can be.

08 Jayco Eagle Super Lite.
07 Chevrolet 2500HD Classic. Reese 16k hitch & S/C tailgate.

I had a chance to purchase an 2007 Equinox at a good price and found out that it can not be towed 4 down without a transmission pump. So, I now have an 08 Saturn Vue, Same body type, but different transmission.

Not to be picky, but I think FWD means front wheel drive (front two wheels), AWD means all wheel drive (all 4 wheels), 4X4 means four wheel drive.

Just went through all of this looking for a new toad. The Equinox "Sport" is the only one that can be towed 4 down. Ended up with a 2008 Saturn Vue FWD. Nice car.

This is for Agrnbrt.

If you read his post first he talked about FWD then later on asks if 2WD is towable. That is the point!

My rv dealer says he cannot rig the lights on a 08 Vue. Can anyone shed light on rigging lights. Using magnetic lights now.

I don't understand why your 08 Vue can't be wired up. Mine was done last week using diodes, and all of the lights are working fine. It can be done, but probably requires some added work.
