I will be the VERY first person to check into TEK this year. Currently 6/30 I am at Riley because TEK does not open until 7/1. I will leave in the early AM to get to TEK and set up in time to catch the bus to Wilson Lake at 6:45AM.
Look for a Carriage pull behind with SD tags and a RV.Net logo in the back windoor.
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.

Ok, let us know how the campground is. I am glad to hear they are opening when I was told. Have a great bus trip.
We will look for you when we get there on the 3rd. We will be in a Big Horn with a silver dodge.

We'll be at Denali Riverside for the 4th. Not going all the way in to Tek this time, but if you are in the area, feel free to stop by and say howdy!
BTW Do you need any special permit or anything to go to Tek? We'd like to drive in just to check the place out.

To drive to Tek, we have a special pass and have to stay 3 nights. You could catch the shuttle bus in there for a cost.

We arrive at Denali Riverside tomorrow and will go into Savage River on the 6th. We have a bus trip into Wonder Lake scheduled for 5:30 am on the 4th. Hope I have my eyes open by then. Maybe the wildlife will be out and about. We did catch a hazy glimpse of Mt. McKinley today from Fairbanks. Hope it stays out for a little while. We didn't see it on our last trip in 2005.

None can drive past Savage River unless they have a camping site at Tek.
And you don't have to stay there three nights. But have to pay for a minimum of three nights.
States I have spent the night in my current rig, bought three years ago.
Have RV'ed through 49 states and been in all 50, just short of my half-century.
