We're considering stopping at Devil's Tower on our way from Yellowstone to the Black Hills versus driving the TV back from the Black Hills. How is the RV parking at Devil's Tower?

Why not just spend the night at the KOA there. They play the movie and you get to see the tower lit up at night.

Rv's shorter than 30 ft., without a toad, can drive and park in the upper lot. Others must leave the trailer, or larger motor-home in the lower lot near the campground. We always camp in the campground in the park.

With your rig you'll probably want to stop at the lower lot. Upper lot doesn't have a lot of RV parking and unless you "create your own" in one of the gravel lots you have to parallel park along the access road.

As I preveously said. The signs state who can park in the upper lot. Some people can't read!

We parked on the lower area, near the campground, dropped the toad and drove it to the upper area visitors center. Were there in June and a lot of native american activities were going on. still crowded on the upper side. I cannot imagine anyone trying to drive a larger rig up there.

Parking will be crowded in the upper lot during summer months. Finding parking even for cars can sometimes be difficult. They have a good area below near the campground set aside for dropping your trailer.

We were there two years ago in July. They weren't letting anyone go past the lower lot without dropping their trailer. It was pretty crowded at that time of year.
