It seems that those who managed to accumulate a few bucks are suddenly seen as tightwads who do not know how to live life.
The country has been having a party for the past five years, they have been playing musical house's, while they were dancing, the mortgage company took the house away, the music just stopped, if you didn't agree with the party, you are greedy, don't care about others, going to take it with you.
Actually the greedy are the ones that owe on perhaps up to 10 vehicles, a DP or a 5th wheel & TowVehicle, homes, none of them paid for credit card debt......then can't afford to put gas in the RV. Their greed for debt has created their positions.
Dave Ramsey the Christian financial expert has uncovered from research that people in debt can take up to 20 hours away from their employer a month, spending hours and hours juggling phone calls at work trying to juggle their creditors, all the while not doing their jobs. SeaDog paints the picture of an ugly side effect of debt.
I have a sweet tender nature, however I enjoy sharing my thoughts and opinions.

When your done with what you call the "Greedy" who will you pick on next? The homeless or minorities. I love watching the "holier than thou" types pick apart what is wrong with everyone else. Carry on...

Skid Row Joe and Supercharged are just upset that at some point in time, they had to camp next to a bunch of underlings. They look down their noses at those who borrowed money for thier rigs and yet they also look down at people that made due. IE, a guy the other day that made a rig out of a school bus. If you don't make enough money that you don't have to worry about it, you aren't good enough to be in the same campground.
It's rare I'd ever be at a greedy commercial RV park. .....I use Wal*Marts to overnight, or I'm back in the boonies. .....I worked too hard for my money to throw it away on them. The borrower is slave to the lender anyway.

Well good for you. But when the cost of fuel rises 20%, and the cost of food rises 25%, and the cost of utilities goes up 40% all in one year, that 65% takehome ratio has now disappeared in less than a year. When people bought all of their toys, they were probably at that same 65% ratio. I know of no one that got a raise that come anywhere near the percentage points that prices have risen. I make a very comfortable living. I will be debt free in less than 3 years. But I will not spend my hard earned money making fat cat CEO's and their ilk richer than they already are. My toys are parked, and will stay there. I have found cheaper ways to entertain myself and my 8 year old son. We miss camping a little, and boating, but if you saw the smile on his face when we brought home the 4 wheeler and moved to our own piece of ground surrounded by miles of trails, you would know that we are not the ones losing. To the people who made a living off of what I spent in the last few years, I apologize, but don't blame me. Call your elected representatives and tell them that you are tired of the outrageous profits being racked up by big oil and the havoc that they have caused in our economy. Me, I am just staying home and doing my own thing. We are not whiners, we are realists. Reality is that there are a very select group that are getting rich while the rest of us carry the burden. Well, my shoulders are getting tired. No more free rides.

Seriously, when you read his post it sounds like penis envy or Napoleon Complex. Boo Hoo their trailers are longer than mine.
Condescending? Perhaps you may consider oversensitivity on your part?? If the OP was Greenspan it would have been fine right?? Insight as well as opinion is not a shortcoming but rather being wise enough to know how to manage your money and being realistic.
Penis envy....your trailer is big huh??
I don't give a darn what you drive, if its too close to me I take my foot off the acellerater and watch your face contort.

I think thou protest too much.
Michael
Obviously he is not Allan Greenspan or he would not be ranting about others on RV.NET. He would be doing something useful with his time. He is likely a Pizza Hut manager that still has the first dollar he made. But hey, more power to him that is his business not mine, just like it's none of his business what I do with my money.
Oversensitive. I think not. I'm a man. I have no feelings, therefore I experience no sensitivity.
If you take your foot off the accelerator in front of me you won't see my face contorting but if you look over I may be sitting next to you in what is left of your vehicle

I'd rather be a happy slave than a sad miser...
