Our 5th wheel has what appears to be a vynal wall covering on
the inside walls. There is an overlay about 6 in wide of a contrasting material. This wallpaper like material is starting to peel off in certain areas. It has a sticky glue like substance
holding it to the walls. I think I will need another type of glue.
Any suggestions? Regards, Jim

I've never tried it with self-sticking wallpaper, but I'm wondering if plain old wallpaper paste wouldn't work. At least it would go on smooth and be easy to clean up.

On our Cedar Creek when the accent stripes began to cone loose I could not get them to stay up. someone on another site suggested using a warm iron and tried a few non visable places and it worked well, nothing came back loose. You might try someplace that isn't very visable and see if it works for you. Be careful and don't get the iron too hot and melt the paper, just hotter than warm and gradually turn up till it begans to stick.

Had the same problem with a prior unit of mine. Texas sun caused it to peel. I found that a spray can of 3M adhesive worked best for me. I sprayed it on the wall board and then used a paint roller to smooth the covering back in place. Be careful not to spray on the wallpaper as it will cause it to melt (soften) and stretch as you re-apply.

I used a hair dryer and peeled it all off.

Get the adhesive for vinyl wallpaper borders. It`s a different glue than regular wallpaper paste.

I had wrinkles in my wallcovering so I tried the iron on it tonight. It worked great and smoothed the vinyl out very nice but one word of caution. Try it on the lowest setting on your iron first. You can always dial it up if it doesnt work. I had mine too hot and it instantly melted the wallcovering the first time I touched it. I tried it later on the lowest setting after the iron had a chance to cool and it worked great.
