I think I would look at the rules and regulations real good, and use the flushing system if it's not listed on the rules paper, If I received a notice from the park manager to stop, I would, but I would want to know why it was not listed on the rules for the park, if I was not satisfied with there reply I would write the owner of the park a letter of complaint. Who knows it might have been a bogus rule by a park manager, or some RVers that like to go around the park sturing the pot.

Most public water systems have a requirment for a visable air-gap or for DOUBLED anti-siphon back-flow protectors between a potable water system and any other kind of system (manufacturing process, sprinkler, sanitary, etc.). Most of the Tornado-type flush devices have a single anti-siphon. There is a International Building Code requirement that requires that all outside hose-bibs be equipped with an anti-siphon. So if your flush system has one and the CG has one on the hose-bib, then that equals the required two. If you have one, and the CG does't have one, then it's THEM that isn't compliant with the Code!
You can buy a screw-on anti-siphon for less than $10 at any Home Depot or Lowes. I keep one in my toolkit for use in CG's that don't have one already installed.

i'am a construction super and UBC cert. (building inspector) and yes, technically it is in violation; if you are using potable water with no backflow device( like on your house hose bib) this could potentially contaminate water source. all these devices(flushers) should have a backflow device. you can add one from any home depot/lowes if you are concerned now. we all should be.

I stayed at Lagoons RV Park in Rockport Texas and was told that any flushing of holding tanks was a violation of STATE LAW. I checked with several agencies and no one could find a law covering this.

every thing is illegal in Va. every one has their own rules and try to push them off on others. Personally I would say let me see it in the books, then I will believe it.

I've been looking for 1 of these. Can't find them at Lowe's or HD.

I have a policy in cases like this... When someone tells me "It is against our rules" Ok, it's against the rules.. I have to accept that.
But when they say "It is against the law" I inform them that I like to collect bits of law and could they please show me the law?
I do not do it in a way to challange them.. I do it in a tone that says "I wish to know the law"
Now: Do understand I've been asked that same question.. but NOT in the same tone...... Poor guy. There is a copy of the law he did not think I had right residing on my hard drive... I was holding the laptop at the time, I showed him the law.. Even printed out a copy for him. He's an insurance adjuster.. I printed it in six point type or is that Very Evil Grin?
