Can anyone recommend a place to camp near Disneyland california? We want to stay close to the parks, within walking distance since we will not be towing a vehicle. I know there is a park on Ball and I-5, has nayone ever stayed there?

also depending on your stay they have a package deal where you can go to both parks and or knotts berry farm or san diego sea world..

There are two parks near Disneyland.
One is Orangeland RV Park and the other is Anaheim Resort RV Park.
Anaheim Resort RV Park has a shuttle for $3.00 a day I believe that will take you from the RV park to Disneyland.
Orangeland also offers a shuttle or $2.50 per person.
With both, don't expect more than a parking lot with hook-ups at a premium price - it is Disneyland, it is Southern California and your paying for the convenience. Either one will meet your needs.

Anaheim Resort RV Park is a one mile walk to Disneyland. We stayed there a couple of years ago and found the park very clean and well maintained, and the managers were friendly and helpful. We sprang for a deluxe site that was a little bigger and had a bit of grass and trees behind it. Also, when we were there the shuttle was free, but that may have changed with gas prices what they are. Getting to Disney from the Anaheim Resort is really a breeze whether you walk it, drive it, or shuttle it. I'd have no problem staying there again.

Here is where we stay

It is across the 5. It is clean and they give you plenty of space.
Although it has a pool and very clean restrooms, I would not call it a resort.
Anaheim has a shuttle for $ 3.00 a day and stops right in front and goes to Disneys bus drop off area.
The other 2 mentioned seem to get better reviews. This one is about 25% visitors and the rest are homies.

I'd take the shuttle wherever you stay. There'll be plenty of walking in D'land.

Orangeland is a bit more than a parking lot.......it's not like being out in the country.......but it's nicer than a parking lot.......it has many more shade trees than anaheim resort.....
We've had many visitors stay there over the years.......

Ditto on Orangeland.. They have some lawns and palm trees. Premium plus sites are big with little lawn and trees.
The two outside of Disney are nothing more than asphalt parking lots with hook ups.
Orangeland is about 4-5 miles away but has shuttle, just further down I-5.
