Going to a private CG in NW PA ( near Erie) over the July 4th weekend to visit kids and the reservation taker said they only had 2 open spaces left. I see a lot of rigs on I-81 during my commute every day. It appears people are still going camping.

We recently did a loop that included Valley of Fire SP in Nevada, Grand Canyon North Rim, Goblin Valley SP in Utah, Arches NP, Utah Lake SP, and Winnamucca RV park. All were filled to capacity every night except Utah Lake, and it was 3/4 full.

Hard to find an empty spot here in my neck of the woods! We don't stay in private parks, state parks/national park/national forest only. Most campgrounds are full around here on the weekends (there are about 15 state parks within 100 miles of me) and are at about 50 percent full during the week.

The state parks in southeast Michigan have been empty.....even on weekends.

I heard a radio ad a couple of times, the DNR is giving up to two weeks free MH, trailer or boat on a trailer storage with a week of paid camping. Not all parks, depends on available space, etc. Details are supposed to be on the DNR site. Sure sounds like they are hurting to do that.

Well, the state park in Traverse City, is filling up fast, there has been a steady stream of people in, and out , course....4th is just around the corner, and Cherry Fest, starts at end of this week.

However, I was at Interlochen state park last week, 2 nights, and still TONS of empty spaces then............course, Music camp was just starting.

CGs here are full. Some in the NC mountains, are already full for Labor Day. Thing is. If you want to go somewhere. Camping is still the best bargin.

No noticable difference around this part of the country. Very busy on week ends and pretty light on week days (just like past years). I suspect there are more LOCAL license tags though.

Our campground has been packed on the weekends. I have heard that Wisconsin state parks are very busy as well.
