I know I am comparing apples to oranges but would appreciate any input on making a decision between the two. My priorities are Quality,Ride and or Handling, and Ease and Cost of Maintainence. I will be towing a 19 ft aluminum enclosed motorcycle trailer, 5ooo to 6000 lbs.
Thanks in advance!

We looked at the Seneca and liked it, but ended up with an Itasca Meridan (sister to the Journey). As I recall, the Journey uses a significantly larger engine and will likely get about the same fuel economy. I would think this would be helpful in towing the trailer.
Best of luck.

I have a friend that has the 35ft 3 slide SENECA with the full body paint and all the extras. The positives are that it has lots of power and rides and handles very nice and gets close to 10mpg running 60-65mph pulling his Jeep. The cost for the unit was 114k and the only thing I don't like is the tail end swinging around corners as its deceiving and needs more room than you think. BUT comparing it to a Journey with a 330cat that stickers over 200k and has an air ride suspension is a reach. The Journey will be nicer on the inside and I think will ride better with air ride suspension but the Seneca will give you lots of Bang for the buck.

My son currently has the 06(?) 3 slide version Seneca and just traded for a new full slide bath and a half Seneca. To pick it up end of July. He gets over 10 mpg towing a tandem tow dolly with a golf cart and Jeep CJ and close to 12 mpg without. I think it is a good value for the price point. He likes it well enough to stay brand loyal. He got almost 30% off retail by buying on line.
I have driven it some and it is very drivable and easier to handle than our motorhome with an excellent turning radius.

I have driven the Seneca's and own an Itasca. Each has it's advantages but from a quality standpoint the Winnie is far and above the Seneca.
