We are heading out the KOA in Pigeon Forge in the am. Not the type of camping we usually choose to do. However, the kids are excited about being so close to the concerts, etc at the park next door to the campground..

We will be mountain camping this week end with 2 other campers.

Amateurs... they can park near us, we will be glad to offer a hand or suggestion if needed. We can remember when ... we all were Amateurs once!

Leaving Sunday or Monday for a four week tour of our great state of Nuevo Leon. We hope to visit all 51 counties. We will be boondocking with the exception of one state park. My longest trip so far. Can't wait.

Hey Kamperman, you should have stayed in #52. LOL I know this weekend is a rat race at Foscue. We were at Childersburg the weekend. Sitting in Jellystone Park in Cherokee, NC now. Will be here til Sunday. Move over to Pigeon Forge next week. The grandchildren are having fun. They are in the campsite next to us.

I saw your posting on Desota Caverns. DW and I checked that out the day we visited Logan Landing and talked to the new owner about buying into the full-time campsite ownership. #52 was a great site and we may do it again in a few years when I get a truck big enough to tow this Jay Flight 29RLS. Man I can't believe all the extra room with that dining/living room slider plus the queen bed that you can walk around. What a change from the Lil 20BH...it's like a penthouse.

BTW don't spread the word on #52 too much, I may never be able to get it again. We loved Demopolis area too. Couldn't believe all the great eating places we found there. We have so many great memories of that week that we defintely want to go back again some day.

Desota Caverns is a 25 min drive from our home. Did you enjoy it? We thought it would be a good place to camp with DGD (and now 4 day old DGS - Jackson).

If you're ever through again and want to camp around here let me know and I'd enjoy jawjacking with you folks.

Safe travel and nothin' but Happy Camping!

We will see you at Logans Landing!

Look forward to seeing y'all there. We'll be going down tomorrow. DW mid-afternoon and me later as soon as I find where they have the key hid to my desk chains. Be there through Sunday afternoon. We're on B10.

After a very extended stay in the Hospital and Rehab facility for DW we are finally going out this weekend, at least we hope so.

I hope it goes the way you plan and all is well. Blessings to you both.

We are heading back to our home base at Monterey, CA. My wife and I agree we don't like to "camp" on traditional holidays--too many people.

We just finished a 20 day trip across Humboldt State Park, Crater Lake, Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Tetons National Park, and finally we are leaving Craters of the Moon.
