Welcome! You may want to consider just buying a bus at the rate your going! We've had as many as 7 before (we do foster care), but normally it's just 3 (of our own) and an extra or so.
We were in the same boat with the pup. I sure don't miss having to "crank" it up. And it sure is nice when you hear "Daddy I need to...." and we just simply pull over, and hop in to take care of natures call...and grab some chips and dip from the refrigerator as well!
