how do i get to my fresh h2o tank under my cedar creek? its a 362bbs, and it has the enclosed bottom, all i can see is a drain hose hanging out. I would think it would be able to be inspected from inside somewhere? probably not, my luck, ill have to take half the trailer apart. thanks for the help.

You will have to drop the underbelly. No way around it. More of a hassle than hard.

last week, we took a trip and i normally put about half a tank of water for the road. my brother was behind me and told me water was steadly dripping from the overflow hose. enough to be concerned about. i am boondocking again next weekend, and would like to see what the problem is.

Try capping the overflow hose while traveling. I have a Jayco Qwest 265 and once water starts flowing out of the tank vents, they act as a siphon and drain the tank considerably while traveling. This may be happening to you. I recently tested the siphon theory by filling the tank until the vents overflowed, then blew air back up through the two vent lines. Once the water stopped flowing the siphon was broken and nothing more leaked out, until I went around a corner and started the siphon again. I plan to put valves on the two problem vent lines and close them when traveling. Good Luck.

in order for a syphon to happen, wouldnt the vent hose have to go into the tank? i would think that it would just be slid on a nipple with a hose clamp, not extending down into the tank. but i dont really know. im learning more everyday, exactly what i dont know!!!

You start at the front and remove the belly covers as far as you need for what you are doing. I had to also pull the spare tire holder and propane line which crosses up front plus I had to cut off the ABS drain fittings and reglue them with abs sleeves later. Might be a good time to check everything out or install some tank heater pads.

It helps to have pneumatic tools. With a air rachet you can really get with it on all those screws holding the belly pans on.
