PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep your kids quiet until at least 10AM. I have to listen to them screaming all day long and often well into the night, the least you can do is keep them quiet in the mornings!

If you think they are noisy, then how do you think they sound to people who are not used to kids noise???? And you think that 7:30 AM is OK for them to be "too noisy?" I think that is just plain inconsiderate.

7:30 AM is way too early for them to be "too loud"
I'd wait until 9 AM or so. No reason for kids to be screaming or making a ruckus that early. If they want to ride bikes and be relatively in control then any hour is fine.

So there's your answer. There will always be somebody nearby who'll get irate at SOMETHING you do. (But the voices of children at ANY hour are music to me!) I say let'em out. Those folks who like it quiet later may need to find a campground with posted quiet hours for AM as well as PM. Not that they'll be enforced...

Wayne tw, you sound like a grumpy old man. Keep the kids quite 'til 10am! That's insane! DId you every have kids of your own?! When we are camping, I let my kids have fun...if that means it's at 7:30 in the morning, then so be it. I try to keep them quiet, but it is simple torture keeping them inside when there is SO much to do outside of the rig. I am sorry if my child making noise at 8 am is to much for you...crawl back inside and leave us alone! That all being said, I do try to keep them quiet until at least 7 am, but my boys are early risers (6 am). Now, if I complained every time someone kept us up at night while they were busy partying and carrying on until 2 am....

I happen to think that sleep IS fun. That being said, I understand that the campground generally rises with the sun, I just wish that sometimes it would go to sleep with the sun also. I have a son that we do try to keep quiet with some level of success, and I do appreciate others that at least make an effort to try to keep their crews at a moderate volume also.

OMG!! I bet you guys must not have kids, or if you do - poor kids!
Isn't there a senior park around, lol
I think when you yourself have kids you are more understanding of other parents and kids. I think your rule is fine, don't make the kids suffer, they're there to have fun too.
People are never pleased. It's like this, for example,
when at the store if I let my kid cry it out - people give me stares of how inconsiderate I am for letting my child cry and making them hear it, if I cave in and let my child get what he/she wanted-so they don't have to hear them cry, then I'm a horrible parent for giving the kid what he wanted!
Seems like this is the situation everywhere. Every kid is different and you have to pick your battles. I already yell and discipline my kids enough to also make them sit still until 10am. at a campsite when there's so much fun stuff to do!
Fortunately for me, my kids get up late, but that means they're up late at night - but it's easier to keep them quiet w/ a game or something, since there's no light out.
Have Fun!!

I sure like the sound of kids at 7Am opposed to drunks at 11pm. We are seniors and we love to hear and see the kids play reguardless of the hour. If someone says anything to you tell them you forgot the duct tape. Camp On!

Unfortunately we are in a time where people just are not considerate of others. It is not about just me and my children. We all should just try to get along and be considerate of others. The "Golden Rule".

Where do you camp? I'll try to avoid that place so you won't be irritated, because silence till 10am just isn't going to happen! And it won't just be my kids! LOL!!! Most places I've camped are downright bustling by 9:00am.
But, if you're hearing kids screaming all day and into the night, I assure you it's not my kids! We're not a family of screamers. But we're not whisperers either, so I imagine we'd be a nuisance to you.
Enjoy your camping!
