On June 04, 2008 I started my membership with Allstate Motor Club, RV RoadHelp, I liked the benefits they offered including service on my 5x10 Cargo Trailer while towing.
It was mentioned that I would receive my permanent membership cards and kit promptly by return mail, being June 16, 2008 I contacted Allstate was informed that my entire kit and ID Card was sent on June 13, 2008, and that it takes approximately 10 days to receive.
On June 24, 2008 I contacted Allstate again, spoke with a foreigner who I just about understood what he was saying, and he stated it takes approximately 14 days for the package to arrive, and that I would be receiving it.
On July 1, 2008 I again contacted Allstate, again spoke with a foreigner, sounded like the same individual, he stated I would be receiving my package any day, I reminded him that it has been already approximately 19 days since the package was sent.
He informed me that he would send another kit, and that it would be 14 days that I should receive it, informed him that I would prefer he over night the kit, other wise if I did not receive it by July 3, 08 I would be canceling my membership. Of course I realize that it would not be sent over night, it is also stated within first 30 days of membership you can cancel membership.
Just wondering if any individuals who maybe members of the Allstate Motor Club RV RoadHelp have had the same problem waiting for their Kit, ID Cards, etc.
It just makes me wonder if I am a member of the Allstate Motor Club RV RoadHelp should I require Road Service what can I expect for service.
It also makes me wonder if Allstate purposely waits until after 30 days before sending the kit along with the ID cards, thinking an individual will cancel within 30 days.
I was informed that I was issued a membership number on June 04, 2008, as far as I am concerned that means nothing, best to have the ID Card in hand.
Needles to say will be joining another RV Road Service Club.

You don't really need your I.D. card--so long as you have your Motor Club membership number (In reality, your name and address will suffice in an emergency) and the 800 number to Motor Club, you will be ok in the event of an emergency.
With Allstate it is important that you contact their service department before you arrange for emergency service. Be prepared to make reccomendations to the service folks in the event of an emergency--sometimes they will make judgements based on a radius of miles rather than on actual mileage to your site from a service provider and that can be inconvenient to both you and Allstate.
You do deserve your "kit" however and I would stay with them until you receive it.
Trust me, I know these things about Allstate--it is a good service.
