How does one determine if their TV has a digital tuner or an analog
tuner. Our JVC TV is in a 2005 GeorgieBoy Pursuit Motor Home. Did
not find anything in the "brains" book that came with the TV. We
operate solely off our crank-up antenna or cable if we are in a
park that offers it.

Find the model number on the TV. Go to JVC and enter it in the search block in the upper right corner. When it returns the search results click on what you think is a good result and look in the specifications section. VHF 2 to 13, UHF 14 to 69 at ATSC,
CATV 135 Sub, Mid, Super, Hyper and Ultra bands at Digital Cable. The words DIGITAL CABLE are the key. If it only says ANALOG then it's not a DIGITAL tuner.

If you can tune to a channel such as 55.1 or 33-4, etc. then it is a digital tuner.

What Lagniappe said..

There are many ways but that is the easiest

Another method.. Does your remote have a "GUIDE" button and if you push it the screen shows the show you are watching and what is upcoming?

And again it displays numbers like 7-1 20.2

It's digital

If you find you have an ATSC tuner that tunes digital modulation just remember that you will receive Standard Digital Television, SDTV, not HDTV.
