Coming back down I-81 thru VA, I saw this at the FJ at exit 77. Note the semi-sunken roof A/C, like PW uses. Dunno if a private individual could source this roof or not, but it might be worth a try.
I didn't get out in the rain to check for a generator. And I also dunno if the A/C was for a driver's sleeping compartment, or the cargo....

Handbasket, while that van seems to be a legitimate delivery vehicle it occurred to me that a person could invent a name for a delivery service, plaster than on the side of the van, and decrease the chance anyone would know it was an RV. On the other hand, I guess it would mean you would be forced to get commercial plates.
Not such a hot idea.

The roof is recessed in that area. if you had seen it from behind you would have seen the whole unit is regular sized. we work on them at our shop sometimes..

IMHO...That fiberglass roof was fabricated exclusively for the Fed-X team. More than likely a small area in the rear is partitioned off and well insulated to contain perishable deliveries...The generator could also be housed in a sealed/vented box with-in the forward section of the van...

Right! And a snorkel because this is a "Special Delivery" van that even makes deliveries to undersea biodomes.
