I thought that I would take the time before we shut our company down to say thank you to all of you that have secured our (my) freedom.

I consider myself a very lucky person to have been born and to live in this Great Country.

When I started our business I lived in the back of a pickup truck for about a year, I was about 23 years old in the early 80's. I had no money to my name, and the deals that I made were with a hand shake.

To our Vets, may you be blessed, It would be a Honor to shake your hand and to look you in the eyes and say thank you.

Many have given there life so that I can go to the movies or buy a coke. Thank you. I will never forget their and your sacrifice.

To those Americans that hate their country, Please remember those that have died and served to protect your freedom so that you may think the way you do about our country.....................

Are you willing to do the same??

God Bless, and Happy Forth of July !

Britt

Your post has put a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye.
I would like to take the time to say THANK YOU for this post.
I spent 8 years in the US Navy (1982 - 1990). This may have been peace time, but I am proud to have served my time to keep this country the way have it is.
My Father and Grandfathers also served in the Navy.
It was my honor, pleasure and distinct honor to enlist to protect our "Freedom".
From me and the Thousands of men and women who have, still and will serve, THANK YOU!!!!

Great comments. I agree 100%! We owe a lot to those people who are, or were, in uniform, securing our rights (which, unfortunately, we tend to take for granted).

My DH will be entering the VA hospital next week for a very extensive surgery. This is the most extensive surgery that they do around here. We are so very thankful, that he is provided medical care. I don't know what we would do with out it. Well, yes, I do, we would be buying medicine and paying for Dr. and hospital bills instead of buying groceries. And, there would not be any camping trips, that is for sure.

So to the above posts, all I can say is ...AMEN! and THANK YOU! (with tears of gratitude running down my face)

My great-great-great-great-great grandfather (5 generations) fought in the Revolutionary War and I am proud of the men in our family over the years that have served in the military.

The words seem to be little in comparison to what the military men and women have sacrificed for the country, but thank you.

Thank you from the bottom of my family's heart.

Britt,
Thank you for a very moving post. I was, and still am, very proud that I served in the USAF. Always remember, Freedom is not free.

Great Post Britt. I fully agree. Thank you so much all veterans. I've heard it said, if you forget history it will repeat itself. I just hope our nation does not have to.
