I have always been one for "nostalgia" I'm one who enjoys watching I Love Lucy and the Brady Bunch and wonder what ever happend to that simple way of life. But back to my original question what is too much for decorating your TT. I love flamingos and it started with a lawn ornament and lead to lights, windchimes and bathroom acs. The wife just laughs when I find something more to add! Do you have any PIC's you might have of your decked out TT? I will post mine from our 4th of July trip. Thanks in advance and be safe!

Our TT came with a Tweety Bird spare tire cover. Then we bought a Tweety key chain for the TT keys. Then our friends found a "Home Tweet Home" yard sign that they gave us. Much more and I'm gonna start to feel tacky But it IS fun

This is one of those "to each his own" type deals. All I can say is do your decorating with a mind set of being considerate to fellow campers. For example, wind chimes may be annoying to a camper near you who is out for peace, quiet & the sounds of nature. Same with hanging lights - in some campgrounds you are stuffed pretty close so bright lights next to someone trying to sleep is annoying too.
Personally I don't clutter up my site with extra stuff but I really don't care if others do if they are considerate.

You sound like a good sport, I'll try to keep the glow of my lights to a low pink color

We put up outdoor lights for long stays and that's all we do. I do a lot of digiscoping (taking digital pictures of birds through my spotting scope) and I have the lots of inside wall space decorating with some of my really great shots. The nice thing about doing this for an RV is that I can make the pictures to fit any available space.

I like flowers .. so have three large flower pots outside with all sorts of flowers .. except one pot which is a ground cover "hen & chicks" I think it was called .. when crowded it shoots up a stalk and flowers. Am waiting for the flowers, then will divide it with my daughter who asked for a section.
Other than frogs around and a "shepherd's crook" stuck in the ground with a welcome flag and a frog hanger .. that is it for our "decorations".
When we travel (we have been here over 6 months for family) we limit ourselves to a smaller outside flower pot, possibly a rectangular type with small flowers. Will put the shepherd's crook away and use a wrought iron pot holder only. Unless we are going to be there for several days/wk/month, I don't bring them out.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.... its learning to dance in the rain!

Campers with windchimes and extra lights are the worst campers in the world and really make me mad! Of course if they are giving out free beer and booze then they are the best campers in the world and really make me happy!
P.S. Peace, Quiet, and sounds of nature exist only in the rarest of campgrounds. And I have found none of them.

only thing we use is blue rope lights on the awning not bright enought to bother your eyes but just enought to see by and a carved small sign .one camper next door had several lighted palm trees and pink flamingos among other things dont know how he stored them all, took a while for him just to pack everything up to travel ,didnt bother us we drop the blinds and close the curtains at night anyways and it blacks out all the bright outside light. And the AC fan blocks out all the noise for sleeping.

We keep ours stuff very simple! I don't like clutter so the basics work awesome for me. It took a year to add an awning mat for pete's sake! LOL
We have the outside table for the outside coleman stove, camping chairs, awning mat and another very small table. Welcome type mat (helps keep dirt out of the TT) and that's it. Usually don't even pull down the awning very much (we typically camp where it can get windy). That's it.
Now the inside is the same - just the basics. I changed out the "loud" bedspread and put a down blanket w/coordinating duvet cover on both bunks and queen bed. That's all I did.
Will eventually hang our family pics i've taken wherever we camp inside the TT - 4x6 small frames - but am still looking for a good place that won't look cluttered.
Yes, I know. I'm OCD.
