You all know by now that I am an advocate that you CAN camp responsibly with pets. I feel I go WAY out of my way to make sure anyone camping next to us is not bothered by the dogs in any way shape or form. My dogs do not go to the bathroom anywhere within a park either.
Well this is my first time ever staying in one park for a month.
Boy some of you guys weren't kidding, the stuff I am seeing and having to endure with bad pet owners is just unbelievable.
And "I" am a pet owner and can't stand it. This is just a 'snipet' of what I've seen.
Letting their dogs pee on the water hookup spigots at the rv sites.
Came back today to watch 2 people letting their dogs out on a flexi lead 'under my picnic table' and letting them relieve themselves #1 and #2!(this park is huge, no reason they had to let them go under my table.)I get out of my car and they just continue to let them do it.
One lady faithfully every morning comes down from about 4 roads up from the park model section and lets her dog relieve himself on all the RV spots.
Kids kicking their balls at the dogs to watch the dogs go crazy.
camper kids running their bikes thru the middle of peoples rv sites. parents say nothing to kids.
And then there is a lady that also comes from up on the hill and walks up to my site and lets her dogs leash out to go and then complains that my dogs are barking and THEN just continues to stand there.

Gee! I haven't been to a campground yet, and that sounds like a good reason to avoid them in the future. Guess I'll stick with freeloading
I've only came across one jackass in an old truck camper that didn't have consideration for others, but wot deh heck, the price was right

ex-pens with a cover under them right next to my MH = not going in park area.
I'm in a holding pattern waiting for repairs...so 'sadly' I 'am' just sitting and waiting and observing. I thought that most complaints were grossly exagerated but I guess they aren't.

We've been full time now for 5 months, and I must say that we have had only 4 annoyances concerning dogs in that time. None with kids yet. Well maybe one.
I must say that excessive barking is the worst in each case.
Two weeks ago we listened to non stop barking for 7 hours one day, because folks put their 2 little dogs outside in a pen and ignored them the rest of the day. I finally went to the office and asked them why no one has complained? They sent someone to the site immediately, and by the time we walked back to our rv, the dogs had been put inside.
From now on I won't wait 7 hours before I voice my concern.I certainly would not put up with people letting their dog do their business in my campsite.
Right here while attending a rally in Wyo. we came home exhausted after a twelve hour bus tour. When we got (home) our rv neighbors dog was barking and continued to bark until they came back a couple of hours later..We casually mentioned it to them in a friendly way. The barking stopped, but today we found they let their dog poop all around the area between their rv and ours..My husband has to be careful where he steps when he gets into our storage area or checks our hooks ups..
I guess I'll never understand how folks can ignore the annoying things their pets do.
We love this life style and most folks are wonderful, So 4 or 5 incidents in 5 months is not going to get us down..

If people & their habits are getting on your nerves already and you just started fulltiming (right?) I am thinking it will be a LONG journey.....
Just think there may be someone who doesn't like your habits, your dogs in x-pens, the smoke from your grill, what time you get up and move around outside, etc. It could be any number of small things that get on someone's nerves.
Seems to me that having a friendly conversation would be a good step in handling these minor inconvienences. Heavy on the friendly so it may take a day or so before this is done...since you are going to be there a while, why not? After all if you get to know some of these folks you might find they are decent people, they just do things differently than you. Heck you could even find a friend or two or five.
