If it has a motor or wheels, I do it. Let me clarify that, on the ground, I don't boat or fly. I swim in a pool, not lakes. My grandkids are just getting old enough to be interesting. They have inherited the motor oil in the blood. My 2 son's and I work together every day, yet we still enjoy playing on our various wheeled things. My wife never got the hang of riding motorized wheels, so we are getting into bicycles.

We are very involved in Revolutionary War reenacting and Living History so we chase museums and colonial forts. I build and shoot black powder flintlock guns; Waltraud is into spinning wheels, knitting and 18th Cent. clothing and cooking. Our "real" camping style is canvas tents, open fires, iron pots and mattresses filled with straw. What a contrast to Class B "camping."

I'm also a model railroader and crazy about any type of trains. We hike, wander, cook in the van and wish gasoline were cheaper. DW collects flowers and plants to take home...keeps the RV's bathtub full. Photography is a must, simply to record those finds that we might not remember.

We will probably keep all this going until the bodies give out and then we'll stay home and start filling scrapbooks!

Digital photography, Designing & building electronic gadgets, Designing and building mechanical gadgets, Making folk art that incorporates all kinds of gadgets, Reading literature, history and history of technology, Museums of History and Technology, Model building, RV modifications, and Hiking. When I'm on my own time, I'm either creating something, gathering ideas for creating things or appreciating what others have created.

My paid employment is very similar except that others direct what I create.

Hi all,

Powered Paragliding

http://usppa.org/

I removed the third seat from my Roadtrek 190P for the paramotor (backpack with a propeller). The wing goes on the passenger floorboard, or if using the heater, in the back of the bee.

I've launched and flown out of large church parking lots and grounds, school yards, small airports, etc. in all 48 states, 6 Canadian Provinces from Nova Scotia to British Columbia and Baja.
