Hello all, I was wondering if there are any TLM rallies? I think it would be nice to have maybe 2 or 3 a year, across the US. Either folks just don't like me and my family, or they just are not as friendly as I think they should be. For the 8 days in the GC trailer villiage one older fellow talked to me as he was taking out trash, another in a tear drop talked to me about his tear drop and TV, and his job and all. But then the rest of the time it was nothing except a hello from the newest one next to us each day, and that was only as they where dumping. I know it is the GC and folks come and go every day.But even at other CGs very few folks say hello. So I thought a TLM rally across the US, you knbow maybe 3 different areas throuhout the camping season would be cool. At least most of us would somewhat know each other. And everyone could show off their rigs and mods, pets, and kids, talents, and whatever else. Just a thought.
Check out the Rally section of the website. There are a lot of rallies held all over the country and many of them are in neighboring states. At least one rally, RV Capital in Elkhart, IN, is held in April each year. You'd meet lots of great people at any of them.
If you see a gray Adirondack travel trailer in one of the Indiana campgrounds, come up and introduce yourself. But be warned, we can talk your ears off. Just remember you asked for it .
We usually just say hi. Sometimes a guy will come up and start talking with my husband about trucks, rvs, routes, etc. But we don't go up to someone's campsite and just start talking to them without being invited. In our view, people hanging around their campsight is like hanging around their house, they're just wanting to be left alone so they can relax. But if you're out walking, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, sightseeing, or any other activity, hubby and I are more likely to start up a conversation.
