But then, the death penalty isn't 'politically correct' either...but in Texas, we have an express lane.
Now if the Native American Indians had guns and land mines when our ancestors came across the borders I guess we would not have this "nonsense" to worry about. What made our ancestors entry into this country legal?
PLEASE...live in the NOW...LAWS are being broken and there is a solution to those laws. Sorry, but our ancestors broke the then law of the land, stole from and murdered the natives in the process. I used to have a lot of respect for some on this forum, but the answers here and the answers on a thread on the workamping forum 2 days ago have really appalled me. We are changing from a nation of the free world to a nation just like those in the far east or Africa, next will be a dictatorship.

Oh, I get it. We're supposed to let the illegals do the same to us, to make up for our ancestors. That should be a fine direction for our nation.
Sorry to hear about the truck...whomever may have stolen it.

Dodge pickups are the big ticket items in Mexico. Because Mexico makes Dodge trucks it's easier for them to blend in, so they are less likely to get checked for regisration. Newer Fords and GMs are more likely to get checked for registration. You can get a stolen Ford and GM registered there, but it's expensive and usually not worth the trouble to a thief or to someone buying a hot vehicle.

There are a whole lot of assumptions going on here, aren't there?
You know, I'd be the first to smile if the truck (or what is left of it) was found in one of the many so called "body/repair shops" doing a whole different kind of business as usual.....where vehicles are stripped and sold in pieces. These places are everywhere and operated by people of all ethnic backgrounds, by the way.
I don't like thieves but I also don't like this kind of profiling. When a vehicle gets stolen, it may (or in this case may not be) just about anyone doing the stealing.

And I would agree with you!
Frankly, I'm surprised the Mods have let this ridiculous thread run as long as it has.
(By the way, I have parked many times near the Riverwalk in San Antonio with no problem and I will still do so.)

I owned a thief-magnet car. I would disconnect the distributor cap every time I parked it somewhere, then reconnect when it was time to leave.
Pain in the you know what, but it was never driven away. Although I did catch a few trying to do just that. Instead, they stole the T-tops, the emblems, the rims and punched out the door locks. Apparently my taste in music did not impress them - they left all the cassette tapes. (oops, am I dating myself? lol)
The day I sold the car, I slept like a baby.

I recommend you get a Club or Club type product. Dodge trucks are the most easiest stolen. However, it takes a bit of time to get a Club off the steering column. They will steal an easier vehicle instead of yours.

Sheriff Joe for President
Judge Judy for VP
Between the two a lot of problems would be expediently handled.
