hmm, albany? do they have a good selections of rv's? were they pushy? easy to get to from the highway? sorry for all the questions, just wanna know before we start going out of state to look at rv's.

They have a huge selection. Check out the website at Rvdirect.com. They were not pushy at all. They are located near the highway ( 1.5 Miles), Straight shot down the Mass Pike for us. Did most of our communication through email. Do an online quote. You have to put in a phone number but no one ever called unless I asked to talk to someone by phone. We even went through several pricing scenerios with different models and options over a couple of months while we figured out what we wanted. Never a problem, just straight foward prices that were thousands less than local quotes. All paperwork was done via Fed Ex overnight.

wow. we checked out the site earlier today, we saw quite a few we liked. we will probably go and see models locally and when we figure what one we really want we will check and see what they are offering for price and see if it is worth the trip to albany.
we are going on our first camping trip of the year in 2 weeks and we plan on doing a lot of walks around the campground with a pen and paper and hoping to find some willing people to let us peek into their rigs and pick their brains on how it functions, lol.

our first camper.. it is small but perfect for us newlyweds! i can't figure out how to fit my pic in the sig.. so you will have to look at my profile to see it.

PURCHASED A JAYCO GREYHAWK 31SS FROM RVDIRECT. THEY WERE GREAT TO DEAL WITH , RECEIVED FREQUENT COMMUNICATION ALL FROM EMAIL UNLESS REQUESTED OTHERWISE. NOT ONLY DID THEY BEET EVERY QUOTE WHICH I RECEIVED ,THEY ALSO AGREED TO REBILL THE UNIT TO GET ME AN ADDITIONAL $2500.00 REBATE. MY FULLY LOADED UNTIL COST JUST OVER $57000.00. I FLEW IN TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE AND WHEN MY FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED THEY PUT ME IN A VERY NICE HOTEL OVERNIGHT AT NO CHARGE TO ME AND APOLOGIZED FOR MY INCONVENIENCE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

Hi

I purchased my current trailer from Gustines RV Sales at Nelsons Family Campground.

I was pleased with the transaction, they were very fair with my trade and the sale price of the current trailer.

The service was pretty good, I've been spoiled by a local dealership here in Mass for service and would have purchased my third RV , but just couldn't come up with a model I liked. So Gustines is decent dealership, and would recommend them.

Jay

i just checked out the web site for Gustines and they have a few nice things in our style, but i love that they have a match maker type thing where you can put in what you are looking for and they will tell you what to get. i didn't fill it out just then, but i will go back and do it for fun, just to see if they come up with a better idea than mine, lol.

Hello, sorry for bringing up this thread, I just stumbled onto it.

We bought our TT from Hi-Way campers, which is the dealer in Plainville unless I am mistaken. I felt that we got a good deal and were treated fairly (that was 5 years ago, don't know if things have changed).

As to Nascar24's post, I have heard good things about Gustine's RV Sales.

Any update on your buying a TT?

hi thanks for your input. we have to put off buying a new tt for now, we are struggling with even finding a new "family" vehicle that will also be the tv. we currently cannot afford two truck payments with a new baby coming. so my dh has a year and a half of payments left on his truck, so i will be getting a used but good condition vehicle through the bargain news probably until the other truck is payed off then we can look at a new truck for me and to tow the camper. our new tt will have to be on hold till then. hopefully we will figure out a way to still go camping with our current tt and the baby. my guess is no more week long trips and maybe just 3 days at a time max.. ??

Just as an FYI, there will be an RV show in Providence, RI on Oct 3rd-5th. It might be worth your while to pop in and take a look at what all the regional dealers are selling.

Show linky!
