Just wondering if anyone has advice for best route, towing a 23 ft. TT. We'll be coming west on I 40 to Asheville headed to Lake Jocassee.
Looking at 1) 25 south thru Hendersonville & Flat Rock to Hwy 11 OR
2) 25 South to 64 thru Brevard, then 276 south to Hwy 11 or 178 south to Hwy 11.

Any advice appreciated! Will be traveling on a Monday during the day.

Been a while since I've been to that corner of SC, but I'd go:

I-40W to I-26E on the west side of Asheville.

I-26E to US 25S south of Hendersonville. There's one very short, nasty area of construction on 26 just south of where the Blue Ridge Parkway crosses. 25 is 4-lane except for a short stretch at H'ville. Give the mountain respect, and drop down 1 or 2 gears.

US 25S to SC 11W at the bottom of the mountain. 11 is the Foothills Parkway, a nice two-lane drive, but hilly IIRC.
