I don't understand how they can use your pull-thru to double up sites. If you are paying for a premium pull-thru site, then you should be getting that. I would complain and loudly. Also, if you used a credit card, dispute the charge. We don't normally stay at KOA's. The sites are usually cramped and pricey. There is only 1 that is fairly local that we go to. It is a exception to the usual KOA's.

as stated in one of the posts above, the pricey charges for little or nothing is not unique to KOA in the Teton valley area.
I know that with kids, you need to find a place with a pool, etc.
And the rv park owners know it, too.

The good news is the dollar is in your favor. Bad news, people complain but rarely do they ever contact the KOA headquarters.

We had the same experience at the KOA near Baton Rouge. Our sewer connection was directly under neighbors table! Of course they moved the table when we came in. It was so close that we would never think of even trying our awning. Moved the next morning early! Koa in Cherokee N.C. was good last year however.

Please always post on rvparkreviews and read them before spending your good money. There are some good KOA's so post and review.

We stayed at the KOA in Fredicksburg, TX over the Mother's Day weekend and it was very nice, and the management was super. There are bad apples in every bushel. I agree with those above, check www.rvparkreviews.com before you go.

Others have said it many times and I'll repeat it.....STAY AWAY FROM THE KOA'S. Below is a link to several nice campgrounds in the Jacksn area 1 with others wthout HU's. But so what...Why did we buy a self contained for in the first place. I can go a couple of weeks without charging or dumping.

Also the Virginian RV Park in town.(Jackson)

I never stay a KOA either for the exact reason.
If anyone wants to stay at a nice spot in the Jackson Hole area you should consider the Gros Ventre (pronounced "grow vont") campground. It's just outside Jackson on the road to Kelly but still close enough to go to town when ever you want to. We really enjoyed it there and it's just a short walk to the river for fishing or just relaxing. It's about 10 minutes or so from slide lake, you can catch fish and explore all day long here to. The campground will accommodate any size rv and if I remember right they even have a tent only area. Water, power and a dump station are on site and you can get wood from the ranger if needed or collect your own.

Just a note to those who defend KOA's. We have stayed in MANY KOA's for one night stays as we travel. I have never expected much more than a parking lot (if you are lucky with a couple of trees) and so I am seldom terribly disappointed. In fact we have been pleasantly surprised at times (ie. Billings, Montana) but this is completely overboard.
Just as a sidebar, besides the washrooms being absolutely pathetic in terms of shower privacy, we were advised by a neighbor that we should park our truck so that our gas cap is next to the trailer. It seems that last night some outsiders came in the camp and stole diesel right out of a few people's trucks!!
I am not ready to throw KOA's out completely as they serve a very specific purpose...one night stays on the road. I will however check out the website mentioned by others in this thread before I book again.
thanks for the input

Glad to add to the bash KOA club. Just stayed on two, one near Lexington, VA and the other out in the middle of nowhere off of I 81 in central PA. Both got $50/night for a pull thru with full hook-ups (50A). neither were near any big attraction. I did note on the customer survey but, also, have little hope of any change.
