Gave my son a couple bottles, ate a huge picnic lunch with the family at the hospital. He hit four pounds yesterday for me and manage to poop and pea on his mom twice.. quite a birthday present. Usually I'm on the receiving end of it. Watched fireworks and had some ice cream later on. Today we found out he may come home in a week or two. Best birthday/4th weekend to date!!

The best one, by far! Good luck to you and yours.

We FT and have come to dread the holidays, as they really interfere with our retirement! But lovely family in next site invited us out to chat. We found out her BD is today, same as me. More birthday cake ...

Happy to be healthy and alive to celebrate another one!

Celebrated the anniversary of our Nation's Independence by exercising my Second Amendment Rights. My brother and I spent a good 6 hours insuring a dozen or so weapons are in correct working order.

The rifle is still accurate and ready for hunting this fall. The Black Powder still smells great when fired. The AK and the SKS still amaze others at the range. Old tyme Carbines still amaze me. Clay pigeons are always fun.

It was a great day!... although my shoulder is a little sore today.

Spent a couple days at Denali Riverside RV Park just outside of Denali State Park here in Alaska. Although it's only a couple hours drive from home, it's nice because there's no Internet or TV (without a satellite dish) and no phones. Just peace and quiet and family togetherness. It was nice.

Had our annual front yard/back yard bash.

Swimming in the pool in the back yard, Sitting around visiting and cooking in the front yard.

We leave Monday and will be gone about 3 weeks, DH is having his surgery next Friday, so it was our last get together with our family until we get back home.

Had a great time.

Never mind. The photo was reduced to the point where you couldn't make out the lake.

Stayed home at the firewaorks time because Nina is so scared. Closed all the doors and windows and turned up TV loud.
During the day we had a city event that we took my Dad too. A nice little celebration.
