I just got off the phone with Richardson's RV .
They said WW went Bankrupt last week.??
And that Giant RV Bought either the company or the liquidated parts or something .
They said they would be the best bet on getting parts.
Butt ..... They said they would try to help me locate the parts.
I need a fender flair for an 05 Rage'n FA3005 because the cheep stock china tire took it out when it blew out ........
Anyway I was just wondering what is going on and what this means for us WW and Rage'n owners??
I hope this post does not violate RV. Net's rules.
Everybody going faster than me is a "Maniac".
Everybody going slower than me is a "Idiot".
Don't they know I'M going the right speed.....LOL

Weekend Warrior appears to be reorganizing. They have absorbed Rage'n, and they have halted all warranty work through the dealers. If you call Rage'n, you are directed to call Weekend Warrior.
Someone on the forum just got warranty work scheduled at the factory which is a good sign, so you might be able to get the parts you need sooner rather than later.

A lot of speculation going on still. The Giant buyout has come up here, though the two posted PSA's didn't indicate anything had happened on that front or that they had filed for bankruptcy. They did say they were reorganizing however and had run into a cash flow problem.
Might check out these threads for more rumor...

As rumors go, Giant helped WW out of a bind years ago so Giant pretty much owned the WW market around LA anyway. Giant also had a better WW web site than WW. but again that's just a rumor?
FWIW, I went to San Diego when I bought my 05 WW..

A December date at the earliest. But the verdict for WW is still out?

Giant RV seems like they may live and die by what WW does. They, like WW may say anything at this point to get people to buy their stuff.
As for a December time for warentee repairs, what is that all about ??
IMHO, the writing is on the wall.

One of my biggest customers and best friend is a contractor who bid on a contract to build a new dealership for Giant RV out in Palms Springs or Indio (sorry I don’t remember at the moment). My guess is Giant RV has a plan of action regardless of the slowing economy. I am thinking WW is one of the most profitable products for Giant. Depending on Giants financial position it could be the right (if not necessary) move for Giant.
If you look at WW, they sell a product that has strong name recognition. Not to mention a loyal market share. You would think this would get them through hard times. However toss in some growing pains mixed with a frame issue and a class action law suite and you have rough road no mater what the economy is doing. I know from experience, the law suite alone probably shut down WW lines of credit with the banks. So now the cards are stacked against them.
If WW files for bankruptcy protection Giant could buy the assets and trademark of WW cheap. This would allow trailers to continue to be built and sold under the WW name with out the legal issues associated with WW. It will be interesting to see.

I have no idea about the Giant RV thing but, just a little logic. . . Giant has sold a TON of WW trailers. When the economy slows those that can afford to, still use their trailers. When they do, they hit things, damage things, etc. Bottom-line. . . they need parts. Parts are huge mark-up! If Giant or any other shop can't get parts from WW they'll really be hurting. When times are tougher for new trailer sales, the parts business and service keeps the doors open.
