We go for a week in the summer every year and rent a condo, now we have a RV and would like to try that next time. Has anyone ever stayed there? Where do you stay? Is it close to the beach? TIA

There are two RV Parks in Hilton Head - one is a motor coach only resort that is very nice with great facilities. It is located about a mile from the Ocean. The second is located just after your cross to toll bridge and it accommodates Motor Homes and Trailers. Both of the are great places each with their own style. Go to www.rvparkreviews.com for more info. Have Fun

we stayed at the outdoor resorts which only allows motorhomes and it was awesome. Sites are immaculate and you can ride your bike to the beach. we have been there twice and would go again.

The Motorcoach resort is right at Sea Pines circle and an easy bike ride to the beach, shops, restaurants etc.
The other one is located at a marina just as you come on the island. It's quite a bit further to activities.

Great!!! We saw signs for one, but were unsure of where exactly it was located. My husbands family goes to HHI a couple times a year for a week. We usually stay at Shorewood on S Forest Beach, but now that we have the RV, I think we might want to try that next time. Thank you so much for the input!

We just arrived yesterday from a great week at Hilton Head and stayed at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort and Marina. The place was beautiful and very well maintained. It is far from the beaches but traffic was not too bad and parking was plentiful despite being the week of the 4th of July. Park staff was very friendly, especially Ed. My only complaint is that we lugged our 4 bikes in our TT only to find that the bike trails were too far from the campground. I would have rather stayed at the other park which is closer to the bike trails, shops, and beaches but they don't allow us lowly TT's.

Let me just say...neat...we were in HHI at the same time!!! This was our first time staying for the 4th of July week. Did you get to watch some fireworks??? Did you eat any seafood??

JCWWBT: I think someone would notice if we hooked on to you but thanks for the offer.
We had seafood at The Crab Shack in Tybee Island and shrimp and grits at Lady and Sons in Savannah. We were able to catch the fireworks right from the campground.
