Has anyone made a holder for their GPS? Saw a Garmin bean bag
type that looked nice, but at $40 I could not afford it!

I found that the suction cup windshield mount for my TomTom will fit nicely into one of my spare cup holders; if I remove the large plastic nut on my SIRIUS windshield mount and replace it with a 'regular' nut it fits into another spare cup holder as well. It's nice not to block the windshield in case an officer of the law decides you can't see thru it. I have external antennas for both run to a storage cabinet above the cab, but I'm not sure I really need them since the GPS and SIRIUS signals can make it thru fiberglass.

Here are some options!

I think I'm going to try one of them, but I'm not sure which one I want to order, yet.

Hello dpfreeman:
You might want to look at a web site www.mountguys.com
They have vent mounts which work real good and are reasonably priced.
Got one for a TomTom and one for a Magellan. You can take the mount on and off easy, plus they work in different vehicles.
Have a look. Hope this helps.

I used industrial Velcro on my dash. Took a square section of Plexiglas and mounted the Garmin cradle to it. I usually leave the cradle in place and just remove the Garmin. If I want to, I can just unstick the whole thing and remove it. I found this posted from another user and have been using it with my 7200. The idea works well.

Thanks scbwr:
I bought the first one on the list Bracketron UFM 100 BL It was $11.50
on line. I ran by Best Buy and they had the exact same one for $40.00 I mentioned to the clerk how much it was on line and she called a supervisor who price matched for me with the cost of shipping included. I got it for $19.00 It fit my GPS very
well and I think it will sit on the dash without moving and showing the GPS screen perfectly.
Thanks to everyone that answered this question. What a great group we have here.
Pam
