We are off for a 5 week trip in the car next week and as i;m diabetic i need to bring the insulin along as i use it every day, there isnt enough room in the car for a full size camping cooler so i was wondering if there might be a plug in the lighter 6 pack size cooler available or any other ideas i could use to keep the insulin cool...Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't have the link but I've seen some very tiny portable fridges that would probably work off an inverter plugged into your cigarette lighter.

I have a Coleman cooler that plugs into a 12 volt power outlet. Mine is fairly large, but I'd bet they make them smaller. If you don't find it at the usual places (WalMart, etc.), you might try the store at a large truck stop.

They make a 5 pack sized electric cooler with a cigarette lighter type plug. Sell for about $35.00 at Walmart or other retailers. They should work just fine as long as they're not LEFT in the car with it closed up. They will lower the cooler by about 30 to 50 degrees below AMBIENT temps (and that's AVERAGE ambient temps). This would be somewhere between 35 and 45 degrees in most places. Good luck / Skip

I have one similar to the B07 at this website:

I used to see a lot of small 12 volt coolers but haven't seen any lately in stores.

I have a small Black & Decker 12v cooler that we keep on the back seat of the truck; I picked it up at Walmart in Burlington, Vt (Williston).

How about a very small ice chest. That's what I use and add ice every day.
