If one wants to spend two months in the summer just laying back and looking a little. Are these two the best choice in the Far West.

Oregon and Wash are our fav States to spend the summers. Been doing just that for many years. Florence and Pacific City Oregon and La Conner Wash are our fav places
The Oregon coast is really spectacular this time of year. There are some really wonderful State Parks and best of all there is no nearly 10% sales tax as one finds in Washtaxington.
My choice would be the Oregon coast. The whole coast of Oregon belongs to the people, so most any where you would like to go you can get on the beach. Most of the time you are right on the coast, there is a few places you are in land when driving. From the Washington state line to the California line there is little towns to look around, The state parks can not be beat. Doing the week you should not have to much trouble getting a site, but there are lots of privet parks. I talked to a friend last evening, he is in Florence, Oregon right now, said that gas was cheaper on the coast then I-5. They have been over there for the past week and he said traffic was not all that bad.
There is so much to see on the Oregon coast and do I really believe that is the place to be in the summer.
If you look on the Washington map you will see that there is really not to many places that you would be right on the coast. In the southwest corner around long beach is not bad, but you can see all of it in two days. Up the beach there is Westport, which is a little fishing village, across the bay is Ocean Shores and a 30 mile beach, then you don't get back to the Ocean till you come to Queets. There is a nice Nat park camp ground north of town. That is the end for WA.
With two months you can see a lot, but if you just want to really see the Oregon coast Just find a good camp and stay for a week or two and just drive around. You could even drive east and drive through the coast range to towns like Roseburg and Eugene, Corvallis, Salem, Mcminnville, even Portland for a day drive.
I love the whole state of Oregon, guess that is why I think she is the best to see with two months. You will see what I mean when you get there and spend some time.
There is some guys on this forum that feel just like I do, so you most likely will hear from them too.

I've lived here in WA all my life so far and I'm partial, but I agree that Oregon is the best state for RV-ing in summer. If you can't find a space at one of the many beautiful state parks, there are zillions of NFS parks to choose from. The coast is stunning, but don't neglect the mountains.

With all those options on your truck, they won't let you cross the border into Canada. Just kidding.
I certainly agree with Hobo. He's traveled extensively and his advice is worth taking. Ditto with Dick A.
We winter in Yuma, Arizona, so I'm assuming you'd like to see a lot of water and trees. The west coast of Vancouver Island is primitive, but with two months to explore, you'd have the experience of a lifetime. Or, stay on the BC mainland and go camping up to Powell River and beyond. Good luck. JMHO
