Well, I made it home on my broken shock, now I just need to replace the fronts on my 04 Ford class A chasis. I think my shock has been broken for a while, based on rusted break point and all. Plus my ride had been bad for a while now.

Any sugestions on shocks, Is Bilstein the best?

LOOKING FOR INPUT???

I put on Bilstiens.. they weren't that much more expensive (bought online).. the only other option would be to put Bilstiens just on front and air shocks on the back if you need some addition lift and don't have airbags.

I took the factory Bilsteins off and went to Konis, MUCH better ride but at $150 EACH (for our DSDP) they are expensive!

I put a set of Bilsteins on my F350 tow vehicle last year and love the things. I've heard people say the things are harsh, but I don't know what they were riding in. Backs and necks don't get any worse than mine ( look up spondylitis ) and I have to say those things ride great loaded or empty with excellent sway control. I guess there's a reason Mercedes has been putting the things in at the factory for decades.

I put a set of bilsteins on my F 250 last year and regret listening to all the hype and not staying with monroe. I am gonna spray paint them black so I don't advertise. That is part of the hype ya know.

Can you get air shocks for a big class A M/H ??? & if so what price would one be looking at for them.

Class A or Class C or whatever it all depends on the chassis and the tube length. I got my shocks from here: www.shockwarehouse.com
I would say a good set of lifetime shocks in any brand will be in that $80-$120 range for heavy duty application. I don't know if anyone will have airshocks for your "application" but if you measure your tube length you can cross reference that on Monroes website.
