I saw A post like this in the 5er section and I have the same problem.
Our slide has left A black mark on the carpet the entire width of the slide. it is only on 1 end, the back end, when slide is in it seems to have the same rise from end to end. this started shortly after we got the TT (see sig) also seems to be level. any thoughts or suggestions?
When retracing the slide I stop when part way in and wipe the underside edge off.
Take an old office chair mat and cut some 4" wide strips using tin shears. Office Depot has inexpensive mats for about $20.
OP has already gave you a link to the info you need. Product is Slide-Out Slicker. Did not find it on Lipperts site though. Found prices from $27 to $47 with a google search.
I have seen the slideout slickers and was considering one for our new TT to avoid marks on the new rug. But in another thread, someone said that the slide should not touch the rug unless it is out of adjustment.
Sounds to me like something needs to be adjusted. My slide has been in and out lots of times and no marks on the carpet. I agree with buying a chair pad and cut it up in strips.

Sounds like you have an alumium frame like mine. It's the oxidation of the aluminum and it won't stop. I have a flush slide, and while it does not ride on the carpet, the carpet with just barely touch the frame during the flexure and movement of transit. It's the way it is folks with typical trailer construction. Simple fix, go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy 2 feet of the clear vinyl hallway runner - the type that has the knubs on the bottom to grip carpet. Cut it in strips wide enough to span over the area getting the marks by about 3 inches to either side and lay it down and walk on it a few times. Bring the slide in and your problem will be solved. When we set-up, I pick these up and wipe off the oxidation dust and stow them until we pack. Less than a $5 fix for me. HTH! Happy camping!
