Gather it up. Put it in a bag. Set it outside the offenders step. Set it on fire. Knock on the door, and, leave.

Boy, I don't know what campgrounds you all go to (except for Rubiranch), but the poop issue is worse in our neighborhood at home than in the few parks we go to.

My DW absolutely hates picking up after our two, but she does it anyway.

We have had a problem with what I think are cats using our front flower bed at home. We got one of those motion sensor sprinklers that squirts them if they walk by. It seems to be working. For those of you with full hookups, it's a thought.

Geeze, bagged or not, couldn't you have found a better place other than the picnic table?

It was either that or her step…

She’s the only one who uses her step but others use the picnic table. Who finally picked the poop off the picnic table?
I didn’t mean to imply that dog poop was tantamount to anthrax – it just makes me wonder if the woman understood what you did and why.

We walked by later that day and it was gone. Her husband was there and he even said hi to us so I'm assuming he chucked it.

I've got a rambunctious toddler who likes to get up very early, and occasionally throw things he finds on the ground.

Let's make a deal. If you don't leave him any doggie ammo on my campsite, he won't have anything to fun throw against the side of your camper. And if you can keep your dog quiet at night, I'll keep my kid quiet at 4:30am, when he likes to get up.

As I read these posts I constantly wonder why dog owners think that everyone enjoys their dogs. Those who cleanup after their dogs should be commended but remember that there is always some residue for kids to walk and roll in. Not just a nuisance but also a health issue.

I wish that campgrounds would restrict dogs to a section of a campground and enforce the rule. If I feel a need to have the company of a dog I can go to that section. If not, I will enjoy my poo free campsite and enjoy the quite of the evening.

Not a dog hater but do not want to be forced to put up with them.

If this post causes some ugly replies, so be it.

I agree 100% Nick. I feel if I want to see animals I will go to the zoo or a farm. Having done service work for many years I am still amazed at the filth some will live in. In MHO, animals belong in the barn, people in the house. We camp with friends that have hairy dogs, I try to keep upwind when the dogs shake off, they leave a floating hair ball.

Heck....you do not have to go camping to put up with that crap! Our ex neighbor would just let her dog out in the morning and it would head right for our lawn. DW never said a word. She collected the stuff and placed it right in front of the losers car door. This dog owner would get up pre dawn to go to work.....she came to our door and threatened my wife! "Theres******all through my car". "Oh, our gardener charges us 10 dollars a month extra to clean up after dogs....its been your dog? I guess he got fed up with your dog". It was nice when the loser moved!

Ah, the weekly Dog******Catharsis post. Every week someone asks "What would you do?" Every week the "responsible pet owners" line up to quickly post how they follow their dogs around with bebagged hands catching the stuff before it hits the ground and properly dispose of it all and "my aren't we the neatest folks in the campground?" Every week the non-pet owners get their regular grumble.
I say, "If you don't know how to handle a situation that is 1. against the campground rules. 2. involves little old ladies and small dogs 3. has a direct bearing on the health of you and your companions. 4. merely requires common sense and just a bit common everyday assertiveness--then you probably ought not to be in such a annoying place as a campground!"
How to find and fix a intermittent short in the electrical system of my motor home is a PROBLEM. How to handle a simple situation with cretins who let their dog******on my campsite is NOT a problem

Nobody on this forum ever lets thier dog poop w/o picking it up, I find that hard to believe. Nothing winds up the holier than though more than dog poop, generators are probably #2 (get it?), and unsupervised kids are #3. frankly I would rather see an occasional poop than kids throwing dog poop, or rocks, or raising heck all over the campground unsupervised.

Once again threats of vandalism and violence? Why?
