Enjoyed our first winter as "snowbirds" this past winter. We spent the entire winter (Dec thru April) in Alamogordo, NM.
We found Dec and January in Alamogordo a littler colder than we would have preferred. We are interested in an RV park somewhere along I-10 between Lordsburg, NM and Tuscon, Az. Something decent with reasonable rates. Would spend Dec & Jan there and return to Alamogordo in Feb....any suggestions? Thanx

We like and stay at the Voyager in Tucson lots of activities and the people are friendly but it is a little pricey. Have fun

Grizzly, we stayed here Cactus Country RV Park for a few days last winter. It is on the Southeast side of Tucson. It is away from the city and airport noise, but yet close enough where you can still go into town to shop, eat, etc. It was real clean with a super nice staff. I would stay there again given the choice.

Several nice parks in the Benson area.
We have stayed at Butterfield. But have seen good reports on Cochise Terrace RV Resort.

I don't think the temperatures will be all that much different around Tucson then in Alamogordo. Not much in Lordsburg in the way of anything. Also the rates around Tucson will be higher then in Alamogordo. I stayed at Tombstone Territories near Tombstone for 4 months last winter. The rates aren't that bad & a nice RV only park!

Take a real close look at Chochise Terrace in Benson, if there is anything in a park, they have it. Nice people on top of that.

Thanks all, seems to be many choices anywhere along the route, think we'll just leave Alamogordo and check out the different areas as we go then head back to Alamogordo towards the first of Feb...sounds fun anyway...

The question would be answered best if we knew what YOU considered a "reasonable rate." That might be $200 a month for some people and $700 a month for others.
