I'm getting a new TV and it already has a 5th wheel hitch installed(Valley Industries - Power Pull I believe) however the previous owner wants to keep the hitch. My question is: are the rails that hold the hitch in the bed of the truck the same for most manufactures or are they all different. Can I go buy another brand and just give him my rails?

yes, most rails are the same. At least mine were. I went from a 15k to an 18k,and a different manufacture, and I used the old rails.

Many hitches use the same rails. I don't know about Valley.

Unless the seller is going to take the rails out himself, he might as well leave them in for you. It probably would cost him as much to pay someone to take them out as a new set. When you reinstall rails you must use new bolts anyway. They cost as much or more than the rails.

When you buy a hitch the rails are usually a seperate item. I wouldn't buy a set for him. Let him do it.
