Anybody seen this movie yet? DW and I saw it last weekend and really liked it. Starts off funny but gets more serious in the middle. There is one scene where Hancock is in prison and has an altercation with some other prisoners that may be considered in poor taste but it is funny nonetheless.

Very interesting twist about midway thru that caught me off guard.

The critics seem to hate the "twist", but I enjoyed the movie (and the twist). I don't think it is Oscar material, but it was worth my time and $$$ for a bit of an escape.

Yes, the critics are rating it lower than moviegoers. It did very well at the Box Office over the long weekend so people must like it despite what the critics say.

I am the only critic that counts.

I am going to watch the movie tonight. I am a fan of Will Smith since his Fresh Prince days. I still watch the reruns if it happens to be on when I watch TV. I rarely rely on critic reviews because I'm pretty sure I have different tastes in entertainment than they do.

a Good movie - it has a few slow points, but worth the money and time to see it. The twist is very interesting...:-)

I'll have to wait until it plays on "Encore". I don't like crowds.

I'll have to wait for TCM, if I live that long...

If the critics don't like it then I will definately be seeing it. I rarely like the movies they rave about.

Same here.... We've been thinking about seeing this one. Thanks to all for your reviews and for not giving away the "twist". We may go see it this weekend, a matinee is a good way to spend a hot summer afternoon.
