Have you thought about cancelling your site and staying North this winter? What about selling your site or renting it if you own one.

Which site do you want? The condo in West Palm Beach? Or the RV site in Estero? (Be prepared to outbid me.)

No way are we staying home. We are going down in early October, back in time for Thanksgiving and then Christmas, and leaving again Jan. 2, 2009.
Switched lifestyles in 2007 and sold the rig - now spend the winter in a trailer w/ a Florida room and love it. We are in a campground and enjoy the best of both worlds.

As of now, I'm still going to head to Florida this coming winter, however still being in the working sector... We can only spend 4 to 6 weeks there during the winter. It will just have to work for now.

Hopefully, not us again! We have our reservations made. Last winter was a beast! Our reservations were made then, too, but my husband's health problems forced us to cancel. He, more than I, likes snowbirding so I hope this year we can make it.

Tried the nomad thing, left a lot to be desired. We're in our comfort zone now, surrounded by all those things (and stuff) that's important to us,....year-round. Chasing the perfect weather can be harmful to your health (stress), and to your pocketbook.
From right here, it's not that far to New Orleans, and to Falcon Lake......

If we stay at home we are looking at 1,500 gallons of home heating oil, several cords of wood, and electric bills at .20 cents a KW of 130 a month. Did the math, it was not a hard descision. Rover will get to stretch it's wheels.
