A few months ago there was a thread about work-camping with the errection of the Wind Generators, I think it was in Texas? Does anyone have any info on this or know anyone who does? It sound like something that I would be interested in and would like to know more about. Any information in this regard would be appreciated.. Thanks...

It may have been a workamper that hosted a bunch of others that were wind generator builder/installers. Or, they were site sitting as in watch dog positions. No erector that I'm aware of would hire help as a workamper.

I did not mean a workkamper errector, but I am sure there are other jobs related to this operation. It stated some of the positions in that thread, such as pilot car drivers etc. Thanks for your reply tho..

The CBS newsmagazine "Sunday Morning" did a story on wind turbines in Texas a few weeks ago. Here are a couple of links at the CBS News website:

Video of the program:

Story (text) on the subject at CBS News website:

Good luck - hope some of this helps.

Someday I'll hit the road in a cute Class C. Meanwhile, I'm practising in a studio apartment.
