Anyone stayed at Canyon Falls RV Park at Canyon Lake, TX for the winter, looks nice and the price is right for us, temps are okay but just thought I would ask before getting too excited. This is our first experience at heading south for the winter. We have a 38' fifth wheel with slides, so would need a decent sized space. Thanks

Sorry, never been there but have been in the area in January at Kerrville TX which is 75 miles west of San Antonio. It can get cold there in Jan. I remember it went down to -5C a few nights which is 19F. Frost all over the car and MH with heaters going full blast all night. We are from Western Canada too and I know this is not really cold as we know it but in an RV, it's getting cold. We go away to get away from the cold altogether. I bet the RV park rates aren't that much more in the valley.
Thanks Toban for the information. We can deal with a few frosty nights, have done that several times, we do have heated enclosed tanks and storm windows, the averages do not look that bad but does use more propane for sure. We really do not want to go the valley, (Rio Grande Valley your meaning, right) looking for something away from the coast. Thanks again.

My preference also.
Hey guys, don't tell too many people it's already crowded enough here in the winter!!

The only problem with that Woodstick....once you are down there for awhile you get "climatized" and then those cool nights that were OK at home are COLD nights to you.....Its hilarious when you first get there and see the early risers and folks out for their morning walks all bundled up in sweaters, gloves and caps and you are in shorts and a T-shirt....but in about a month guess what :}...been there done that..been laughed at by the new guys...
