Next time he tries to put the moves on you in the bedroom tell him that it is too "Short Notice" and he will have to let you know sooner next time...

He "Might" get the message then! LOL

I would, but I already use that one.

Believe me I do understand. A 2 hour notice would be fine for me, but then I am not your husband. It still seems to me that you are trying to use us as a sounding board to reinforce the idea and convince yourself that you are right, and your husband is wrong.
I repeat, talk to your husband.
Have a good day.
Sincerely,
ventrman

Since I have seen him go fishing on 15mins. notice, I don't think that two days ahead is such short notice. I also already know I am right, so, why would I need to convince myself?

I would drive up there myself, but he prefers to be the one to do the pulling of the tt, so I have never done it.

It seems that is what you are doing to me. Why otherwise would you need to take a poll on here to see who else agrees with you?

I don't recall my question being a poll, but hey, if that is what floats your boat, keep thinking that you silly goose.

I'm going camping, I'm going camping.

This is the text from your original post.
"Who here would consider two days to be short notice to go camping nearby?
Tried to talk husband into going up the canyon we like to camp at and go camping this weekend, but he told me it was short notice. Huh!
All we need to do is add water to tt, food, and clothes and go. How hard is that? It is to hot to stay home."

If that is not a poll, what is it?
Earlier, you said that you have seen him go fishing with 15 minutes notice. I am sure you have.
Maybe he had something else planned. It could even be a nice surprise for you.
You will not find out by posting on here.
That is why I said talk to your Hubby.

I hope you enjoy your camping trip.

Based on the last two trips, anything under 15 minutes is short notice.

Less than that and there's a delay between saying "ROADTRIP" and brake release. Details, details...annoying things like opening windows shades, secure loose items, slap the cabinets closed, dump tanks, fill water, disconnect shore lines, hook the trailer up, load motorcycle, safety check and dive into the pilot seat.

The first trip after winterover takes an hour due to removing skirting and a few other details.

YMMV greatly. I'm a solo fulltimer.

That is why we try to keep the MH ready to go. We talk more about short-notice trips than we do.

At out house, 2 days is a LOT of notice. We come home from work, and one of us will say "I wish we were camping...", and what do ya know? Camp is usually set up before dark! I would like to add, too, that sometimes, those trips with no notice/no planning are sometimes the funnest times to be had.
