We've been here at Stoney Creek for the past four days and no bears... of course, we're usually gone during the day. We did the all day Fjord trip yesterday (the one with the buffet) and really enjoyed ourselves. Met a young Finish couple and swapped stories with them.

Stoney Creek campground is a nice campground. Good wifi and cable tv, clean laundry and showers...and the kids that run the place are extremely helpful. One even came down to our mh and helped me get my tv cable straighten out.

We'll be leaving tomorrow for Kenai...

See ya

Wife & I stayed at waterfront park. Sat right on the bay and watched the sea otters play. Was several eagles right in front front of the MH. Watched the cruise ships come in and depart. We dry camped, but there was city water and a dump station within 1000 yards. Good location.

Great info, thanks. We should be back on the road by the second week in August.

Ron, I think I see you (Nice rig, by the way....) and if you want, I can come knock on your door if the bears come past again. They moved to the far side if the river before noon. They return around 7-8 PM and head up the hillside next to the big bulldozed path.

Hi Eric... well, darn... would have liked to get a few pictures of them...oh well.

We are heading out in the morning (probably around 9 or 10). If you're still here, would love to have you drop by and say howdy and chew the fat for a few minutes. We're heading up to Kenai for a few days before going down to Homer.

See ya

Well Ron, I'm sitting at the campfire over near the riverbank toward the big hill. Come on by and I'll buy you a beer. I'm the one in the blue flannel swatting mosquitoes with what looks like a badminton racket.

We're leaving tomorrow also.

Heading back home.

Wasn't really expecting such a quick reply and shut down the computer right after I sent my last msg. So, real sorry I missed you....maybe down the road. Did you go back home today, or are you checking out other places.

We're at the Beluga in Kenia and really enjoying the view....a little windy tho!

See ya

We're back home in Eagle River. Maybe back to Seward at the Army campground in the last week of July, or just stay home and paint my back yard fence.

In mid August, there's a big "Founder's Day" celebration in Houston, Alaska (Mile 74 on the Parks Highway just outside of Wasilla) and we'll go there and stay at the Riverside Camper Park.

Then it's all downhill as the winter weather begins to bear down on us.

Happy trails. Have a safe trip home.

Now Eric, I put in an order for a late winter this year. This will be our last winter up here and I want to postpone it as long as I can.
